We wanted to share this, because we are so proud to have had the chance to work with such a talented DP! We can’t say enough about Seth Wessel-Estes; We wouldn’t have made it through production without his talent, advice, creativity, and humor on set. He just released his new reel, which includes several shots from Causality. In honor of his hard work, and as a sneaky way to get you to watch his reel, we’re giving away free “Causality” T-Shirts to anyone who catches ALL of the Causality shots that … [ read more » ]
To everyone who has watched and shared our trailer, thank you! We’re getting close to 1000 views, and it would be INCREDIBLE if you could help us break that while we’re shooting this weekend. We have only 5 more shoot days to go until ALL OF SEASON ONE IS IN THE CAN! Well, on the hard drive, as modern filmmaking tends to be, but still WE ARE SOOOO CLOSE TO FINISHING PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHY! Sorry about all the caps, but I’m excited. And we’ll all be even more excited if we … [ read more » ]
We’ve had a “season one trailer” posted here before, about a year ago — but that one was kind of thrown together at the last minute to show at our lobby table at Norwescon, and it mostly contained footage from the first episode. Yesterday, we got to premiere our new trailer to a surprisingly large and enthusiastic audience at Emerald City Comicon, and it got a great response — including from our cast and crew, who hadn’t had a chance to see it yet! This version has clips from scenes … [ read more » ]
It’s the year 2531 and Dr. Genesee is about to start a new life. This is the prequel mini-episode we’ve been talking about for a year now. We’re VERY proud of it, and hope you’ll watch and let us know what you think. Much more to come! Oh, and if you haven’t seen our “behind the scenes” video of the Dr. Genesee shoot, it’s worth a look (Lucky Charms, green boots, Psychedelic 70′s music, and RUSSIANS? Yes.) To make sure you hear about all of our news and adventures, … [ read more » ]
So, you may have noticed that the release of our promo mini-episode, let alone the actual production of the show, seems to be, uhh, taking a while. *sound of crickets chirping* That’s the problem with having crazy-talented people working on this show — they’re in such demand in their professional lives that getting all their efforts coordinated and scheduled takes some doing. We’re getting there! In the meantime, though, to blow off a little steam, here’s something we threw together open the weekend that we hope you’ll enjoy: … [ read more » ]
Here’s the video of the “Women in Webseries” panel at at GeekGirlCon, featuring our very own Glynis Mitchell, and Mary Higgins, Trin Miller, Josephine Hoy, Joanna Gaskell and Vanessa Driveness, Jane Espenson, and moderators April Grant and Amanda Shockley of Indie Intertube. Check out how Glynis charmed the socks off the crowd, and get some great insights into what goes on in making a webseries! This panel was a hell of a lot of fun, and if you weren’t there, here’s your chance to see it. [ read more » ]
Anyone who’s ever worked in film/television knows that days are long, night shoots feel even longer, and questionable things happen after midnight. During the night shoot for our “Dr. Genesee Mini-Sode” we spent some time in a soundproof padded cell, questioned a decidedly low-tech, high tech device, and finally relaxed with a beloved breakfast cereal. Add some psychedelic 70′s rock, and oh yeah, RUSSIANS! What could be better? [ read more » ]
Part 2 is now up at YouTube. It clocks in at just under four minutes. Thanks again to The Night Kitchen for hosting us. If you still have questions that this didn’t answer, let us know in the comments, and we’ll try to address them in a future video or podcast. Thanks! [ read more » ]
Here it is! Our very first Q and A! Click here to see it (5:46 RT) The First Causality Q and A Session-Part 1 This was an impromptu session that took place Friday, January 14, 2011 after a reading of short stories by Glynis and Montoure at Seattle’s “The Night Kitchen.” There was a great turnout to hear them read and most people already knew a little about Causality, but wanted to know more! Since it was the first time, it was hard to give some info without giving … [ read more » ]
